teal-deer asked: there are japanese people with both brown AND even red hair; it's a rare mutation but it exists. a friend of mine's cousin got expelled from her school because her teacher thought it was dyed; she had to dye it black. just as there are rare redheads in african populations. red and light brown hair are mutations and can show up in any population; it's just rarer in nonwhites because it comes with sun sensitivity + thus higher skin cancer death rate. SCIENCE!
